Aorta Return and Refund Policy

The team at Aorta works hard to make sure that they facilitate the processing of accurate medicines as per prescription order and strives hard to service them in right conditions without causing any kind of damage, each time a consumer places an order. However, we recommend that the items are always checked during the time of delivery.

‘Return’ – Definition

Return is simply the action of giving back the service or product that the customer has ordered at Aorta. Here are the following situations during which the action of giving a product may happen:

  1. When products that are delivered don’t match with the order that you placed
  2. When products that are delivered are either near to or past their expiry date
  3. When products that are delivered were damaged during transit

Point to Note: In case the product that you receive is damaged, please do not accept the delivery of that product. After opening the package, if you discover that the product or medicine is damaged, you can apply for a refund. However, do note that we can’t promise the replacement of all products as that depends on the availability of the product. In such situations, we prefer a refund.

During the above mentioned unfortunate situations, in case there’s something wrong with an order, we would be more than happy to rise up to your concern and address the issue as soon as possible. You are allowed to raise a Return request through our customer care within a week from the delivery of the product.

Upon receiving the ‘Return’ request, Aorta will verify the extent of authenticity of the nature of the request. In case the company finds the request genuine enough, it will immediately initiate the Return and Refund process. The refund will be processed only when it has got the confirmation from the vendor regarding the content of the product.

All returns are subject to the following conditions:
  1. In case of wrong ordering of a product, this won’t qualify for a Return
  2. The Batch number of the product that is being returned should match with the batch number mentioned in the invoice
  3. The Batch number of the product that is being returned should match with the batch number mentioned in the invoice
  4. Return requests that arise due to an alteration in prescription don’t qualify for Return
  5. Strips that are partially consumed don’t qualify for Return, only the unopened strips will be returned
  6. Products that are being returned should be in the packaging of the original packaging containing the labels, price tags, invoice and bar-code
Non-Returnable Products:

  3. Food and Nutrition
  4. Sexual Wellness
  5. Temperature controlled speciality medicines

Our team at Aorta will verify this claim within 72 business hours right from the time the complaint has been received

As the claim is verified as reasonable and genuine, Aorta will initiate the collection of the product that is to be returned

The customer should pack the product in the original packaging of the manufacturer

Refund will be completed within 30 days from the date of pick-up

Medical Test:

In case of medical tests, customers may raise a ‘Refund’ request in the following cases:

If the patient suffered from Haematoma or some other prick-related injury

If the patient’s report has been challenged and there has been no appropriate clarification

If the deadline within which a report needs to be provided to the patient is breached by 72 hours and no proper justification of this act has been provided

Refund Process

In all of the above mentioned cases, in case the claim has been found to be valid, the refund can be made as below mentioned:

Orders that are placed via online wallet will be credited back to your wallet

Order placed via COD (Cash on Delivery) will be refunded via fund transfer to the bank account of the customer

Online Consultation:

With regards to online consultation, a customer can raise a request for Refund in case the consultation query isn’t replied within a definite timeline.

For this, the customer should raise the refund request with Aorta customer care within 72 hours from the time of submission of the query. The request for this refund can only be

validated by Aorta customer care team.

In case of a valid refund, the same can be done by crediting the account of the customer.

The process of refund is usually completed within 30 days from the submission date of the request for Refund.

Shipping Charges

Orders that are of a payable amount of minimum Rs. 500 or more than that will qualify for free delivery. Otherwise, a delivery charge of 25Rs. will be applicable.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Customer:

The customer is allowed to cancel the order for any product until Aorta ships it. Orders that are once shipped won’t be cancelled.

The customer is allowed to cancel the medical test order till the sample is collected.

Aorta Cancellation:

There are few orders that Aorta partners are not able to accept and service and these are the ones that can’t be cancelled. Some other situations that may lead to your orders being cancelled include errors in pricing information, non-availability of the product or the quantities that you’ve ordered.

Aorta also enjoys the right to cancel orders that are categorized as ‘Bulk Order’ as decided by certain criteria of the company. We can classify an order as ‘Bulk Order’ if it meets the below criteria:

  1. Products that are ordered are not for self consumption but for retail or resale purposes
  2. Multiple orders placed for the same product at the same address
  3. Invalid address given in the details of the order
  4. Bulk quantity of the same product
  5. Any malpractice or illegal activity that has been used to place the order
